HKLUG 已定於 2005 年 5 月 28 日 (週六) 下午 2 時半舉行新一年的第三次 LinuxTalk 。活躍 Java/Kaffe 開發的 Alex lau 將為我講解Linux上的嵌入式系統及 Java 。陳曉陽先生亦會為我們講解 Linux 上的 HA Load-balancing。本會亦會當場講解有關 WikiWikiWeb 及 OSWikiHK 計畫的正式展開。

Embedded system and Java on Linux

Embedded Linux and Embedded Java is not a new topic. But using framebuffer directly , qtopia or mini-gui doesn't really help making java avalible in embedded enviornment. porting j2me to different platform doesn't really get an open source vm work very well. Right now I'm using kaffe + directfb + kawt + odonate could possible make the JavaGUI avalible in most vesa display. All opensource and lot of possiblility.
