In the Nov 27th 2004 LinuxTalk, HKLUG invite Mr. C.K. Wu, the author of CK-Ledger, to talk about his new baby - CK-ERP.

Last year, C.K. had also talk about CK-Ledger in LinuxTalk. CK-Ledger is an account system target for SMEs in Hong Kong and China. And it is also one of the open source application developed by Hong Kong people. After CK-Ledger, C.K. extend the functions and release an full-power Open Source ERP/CRM system - CK-ERP. CK-ERP runs on top of phpGroupWare. It comprises 17 modules - Admin, Contact Management, Customer Relationship, Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Inventory, Service, AP, AR, PO, SO, Quotation, POS for Cashier, POS for Manager, HR, Staff Self Service and Payroll. Operating platform can either be LAMP or LAPP. It provides accounting and back office functionalities to SMEs and utilizes phpgw to administer accounts/groups.

C.K. concentrate on the CRM aspects of CK-ERP.

Besides, C.K. and Mr. Leo Hau are porting CK-ERP to eGroupWare. And Mr. Hau had share his own experience on eGroupWare during the LinuxTalk.
